Mastery chests
Which hunters to choose, and why.
- Win them from the world boss
Everyone who deals damage to the world boss gets at least one mastery chest. See the World boss guide. Your chests wait for you on the Chests page, under Mastery.

- Find your three strongest hunters
Your strongest hunters are the ones with the most damage per second on the Battle page. The Arena page and your profile also put your strongest first.
- Choose those three
Press Open a mastery chest and choose 3 hunters. One of them, at random, gets ×10 base damage for good. Your strongest hunters do most of your damage, so that’s where it counts: in our test, the upgrade made the whole party 4.3 times stronger on the top hunter, and just 1.01 times stronger on Daro.

- Open it and see who was chosen
Upgrades last forever, through every rebirth and awakening. There’s no reason to save a chest, so open them as soon as you get them.

- Watch your level caps
Hunters stop levelling at 500. Their first upgrade (Bronze) raises the cap to 600, and it keeps climbing with each rank, up to 2,500 at Eternal. If a top hunter is stuck at their cap, make sure they’re in the chest.
Tips
- Keep choosing the same top hunters. Upgrades multiply: two make a hunter ×100, and three make them ×1,000.
- Summoned a stronger hunter? Swap them in. Upgrades you’ve already given stay.
- Avoid weak choices. Any of your three could be the one upgraded, so a weak hunter in the chest can waste it.
- “You” only boosts your strikes. It’s no help to your party while you’re away, so choose your hunters unless you strike a lot.
