Gatebreaker is an idle RPG you play in your browser. Lead a party of hunters up an endless gate, floor by floor. They fight on their own, so the numbers keep climbing while you do something else, and every strike you add speeds them up. Every 10 floors brings a new zone and a boss that fights differently, with a timer to beat.
Like the best incremental games, it opens up in layers. Rebirth for shadow essence and raise a shadow army that stays with you forever. Awaken for sigils that never reset. Summon hunters from chests and star them up, earn mastery and relics from the world boss, and climb the arena each month.

What kind of game is Gatebreaker?
Gatebreaker is an idle RPG, also called an incremental game. Your party of hunters fights on its own, numbers grow, and you spend what you earn on stronger hunters. When you can’t climb any higher, you rebirth for a permanent bonus and climb again faster.
Is Gatebreaker free?
Yes. It’s free to play in your browser with no download. There’s an optional store, but nothing in it is needed to reach the top.
Do I need an account?
No. Press Play now and you start straight away as a guest. You can save your account with a name and password later, and keep everything.
Does it keep playing while I’m away?
Yes. Your party keeps fighting for hours after you close the game, and you collect what they won when you come back.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Gatebreaker runs in any modern browser on PC, Mac, Android or iPhone, and you can add it to your home screen like an app.
Is it multiplayer?
Partly. You climb on your own, but a world boss wakes every hour for everyone to fight together, and there are hiscores, monthly arena seasons and chat.
